Meet Me
Hello! My name is Brian Wigginton and I'm a web professional living in Fort Worth, Texas. I'm currently an Independent Contractor and Consultant providing services in Web Development, SEO and Interactive Strategy. At heart I'm a developer and really drool over playing with new technologies and learning about the newest stuff going on around the internet. I consider myself proficient in HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, Ruby and Ruby on Rails, but I've done so much more including Fortran, Java, C, Python, Perl, Bash Scripting, ASP, ASP.net and a lot of other acronym soup that we can talk about more if you'd like!
I'm a Mac user converted from PC & Linux in early 2008. I have a 15" Macbook Pro with a 24" Sony flat panel, and a 22" Samsung Flat panel hoisted upon on an Ergotron LX Mounting Arm. I maintain a few Linux servers and I have a Ubuntu slice at Slicehostserver I run for personal projects and staging sites for my clients. I use Versions for Subversion but I'm starting to really like Git (and Github http://github.com/bawigga) for my personal projects. I use Textmate for all my coding and either iterm or Visor for console access, Transmit for FTP and a bunch of Fluid SSBs for hitting sites I need up all the time like Redmine for communicating with clients and managing my projects. When I'm jammin out I'll listen to my Shure SE310 Earphones (Black) and launch PandoraJam or Grooveshark
I've lived a few different placed including West Chester, Pennsylvania, Wilmington, Delaware, Houston, Texas, and Paris, France. I graduated from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas with a BS in Computer Information Technology.
Fort Worth is a big city with a small town feel, so there's always something to do. You might see me out around downtown on the weekends around Sundance Square, chillin at Fuzzy's Taco Shop, having a beer with friends after work at Chimys, trying out the new Rahr brews on Saturdays, or playing a round of golf with some buds at one of the local muni courses. I've also played lacrosse for about 7 years now and enjoy picking up a game with the local Men's team - The Roughnecks - here in Fort Worth.
Here are some ways to keep up with...
